I am writing to you in support of Mr of ’s Heaven on Earth Animal Healing and Supplies.
I have read the Mr will appear before you in Court on April 16, 2007, on a matter relating to the Chiropractors Board of Queensland in which they infer that he represents himself as a “Humans Chiropractor” – a statement which I personally do not believe to be true.
As an animal lover and the owner of a beautiful Golden Retriever named “Calli” we have Mr to thank for saving her life. Calli had endured 3 operations on her Crucial Ligament (2 operations on her right leg and 1 operation on her left) at an estimated Veterinary cost of over $2,000. She was in immense pain and being administered expensive pain-killers ($55 per bottle per week). The pain-killers offered little relief to her, however, when not having the pain medication she was totally incapacitated.
When speaking to a close friend, I mentioned that it seemed inevitable that we would have to have our beloved “Goldie” put down, it was too cruel to keep her alive in such pain. My friend had a small poodle who was always very snappy and appeared to always have a very sore back. She said that she had recently taken her poodle to Mr for treatment and the results he achieved were amazing. Their little dog was no longer sore to touch and his demeanor changed into a friendly happy bouncy puppy. Mr also advised them what to change in their home to keep their poodle in the best possible condition.
I rang Mr and explained Calli’s medical condition, and booked an appointment. He was very concerned for her and asked that I bring her to him the next day. When I arrived at the appointment with Calli, I carried her to him, as she was unable to walk. He assessed her, treated her with manipulation and laser acupuncture and then gave me instructions how we, as a family, were to care for her until her next treatment in 2 days time. Amazingly, although evidently sore, Calli walked from his treatment area (which housed racing dogs) back to the car. After numerous treatments Calli returned to her beautiful self. She was happy, playful and puppy like once again. Each time she would visit Mr for a treatment she seemed to have an expression of relief on her face.
At no time when in consultation with Mr did he infer that he treats “humans” in a chiropractic manner or any other medical manner. When you speak to Mr he will proudly tell you how he treats dogs including racing greyhounds (which appears to be his real love), cats, horses, and with a beaming smile, recalls how he even helped an injured possum. His true passion for the health and well being of the animal world is an amazing trait to see in a person which is why I am so shocked and bewildered that the Chiropractic Association deems it necessary to accuse him of claiming to practice on the human spine. Mr seems to have found his true niche in life, to treat and help animals (not humans) that would otherwise suffer unnecessarily and to be operated on unnecessarily at enormous financial and emotional cost to the carers of the animals.
Since Calli’s return to normal health and life, I have recommended Mr to 3 friends, their pets being a Golden Retriever, German Shepherd & Jack Russell and my brother, who has a lovely old Cattle Dog. Each pet has received treatments from Mr after having given up on treatments from Veterinary Specialists. They have all come back to me to say thank you for recommending Mr and all have been overwhelmed with the positive outcomes their pets have received. Although, interestingly enough, each person had heard of Mr or seen his 4wd and greyhound trailer throughout Brisbane, it never occurred to them that he would be able to help their animals in the ways he did. Mr ‘s clientele appears to come from word of mouth rather than from huge advertising campaigns.
Mr has a unique ability with the animals that he treats, his passion and depth of care for the animals for which he treats is a rare gift. When we take our beloved “Goldie” Calli on her daily walks and play with her in the backyard, we are very grateful that we were able to access Mr ‘s services for her, otherwise her outcome would have been inevitably very different.
I will never hesitate in taking Calli back to Mr for treatment or think twice about recommending him to friends or acquaintances who may be having problems with their animals.
It is disappointing that the Chiropractors Board of Queensland deem it necessary to pursue an expensive legal case against Mr . Perhaps the Chiropractors Board would have been looked on more favorably, by animal lovers, if there had been successful mediation and the legal fees been directed into positive health issues and treatments for the good of humans.
When all is said and done Mr has a unique gift. I really don’t care if he calls himself a Canine Chiropractor, an Alternative Therapist or any other title you care to label him with. Mr ‘s success appears to come from his ability to treat animals, for which he is renowned, – and animals only – in a truly unique way. Each success story is a positive for the animal world and animal lovers, whether the Chiropractors Board of Queensland like it or not!
I truly hope that justice for the animal world prevails.
