To Whom it May Concern
We have Vauhall a Boxer/Mastiff cross about 12 years of age. We met this year at the Paws walk in Bundaberg and for that I am eternally grateful. Vaux is a large dog and is in advanced years but is the “baby” of our family as our 2 boys have grown up and moved out of home. Vaux goes everywhere with us, especially camping and now caravanning. He has had a holiday for 2 months to WA and NT. This was back in 2002 and even back then we noticed because he had to get in and out of our 4WD at once a day, he was having problems with his shoulders. Sometimes he was worse than others. To compound this when he was a pup he had a mishap with a car. Since we have met , we now know how this all takes it toll as the animal gets older, just as it does on us humans.
For the last 2 years he has had a course of Cartrophen injections but to be honest there was not a lot of improvement. His joints appeared to be getting stiff and getting up from lying down was an effort for him.
took one look at Vaux at the Paws walk and did a treatment for him there and then. He said Vaux was in a lot of pain but he could help him a lot.
One thing that had concerned us for a lot of years was that if Vaux was on the floor at our feet and we went to pat him, especially run our foot on his back he would always growl and try and move away. We now know that was because he was in pain. Since the first treatment gave Vaux he does NOT do this anymore. We were amazed.
In spite of his pain in the past, of which we were not aware of how bad it was, Vaux was always ready for a walk or a ride in the car.
Following treatments from , Vaux looks and obviously feels like a new and much younger dog, that is now causing problems because he tends to overdo things and forgets that in fact he is 12 years old. Thank goodness is a phone call away now that he is in Bundy and he ‘will come any time give him a treatment and he is as good as ever.
When Vaux has a sore shoulder now I can tell the look in his eyes when he looks at me and it says “get here again I have pulled my shoulder” Vaux loves him.
Thanks for everything and being so kind to our “boy”
