I was just throwing a ball for Tyler one day, when he started limping. I cut our park session short and walked him home. By the time we had gone home (just a block) he could barely put any weight on his hind right leg at all. We made an appointment with our closest vet and in the next two days before the appointment, the leg only got worse, until he was favouring it completely.
The vet consult only lasted about 15 minutes, in which time we were told that Ty had ‘anterior cruciate ligament’. We were also told that it was a condition that could only be fixed by very invasive surgery. He continued to tell us it would cost approximately $3000 and had to be done in the following 3 weeks or he had no chance of recovery. This ‘recovery’ included keeping our very active Ty still for up to 6 weeks of healing. I looked for other options and we found Doc through a word of mouth site on the web (WOMOW).
After just ONE treatment Ty seemed more at ease using his leg, and after the second treatment that week, he was gingerly limping on it again. The third treatment saw Ty using the leg again and trying to get back to his normal self.
It is now 6 months after the accident and you wouldn’t even know anything had been wrong with Ty’s leg at all. He loves Doc and has made a good recovery. He is back to running around with his playmate Issy and getting up to mischief.
Doc also taught us some ways to help prevent things like this happening again.
We couldn’t be happier with the way Doc treated Ty, and definitely happily recommend anybody who needs animal services his way. Thank-you so much for everything Doc.
